*** Led Zeppelin North American Tour 1977 ***

Personnel: Jimmy Page :: John Paul Jones :: Robert Plant :: John Bonham.

Notes: This is a very good audience recording, meaning one below excellent. A girl does shout “PAGE” at quite a few moments between songs right into the mic, but that just adds to the atmosphere. Over all, the band is really on this day. There are some mic movements at various parts on CD 2, but nothing that interferes with the music. It is balanced over all and very listenable, given that its at a stadium with over 67,000 people on who knows what inside. Again, the first few notes of each song are not cut off, but the show is not complete, with missing Whole Lotta Love.

Tarantura has done an excellent job with editing
that did have to be done, and with EQ’ing. This is now the definitive release for Led Zepp’s last concert. Highly recommended. (Info taken from collectorsmusicreviews).

Notes: This show has been previously released on the very popular Bootleg “Thank Your Lucky Stars” on the Big Music Label. This release lists this recording as being from the Universal Amphitheater on Aug. 26th but it has been proven to be from Irvine Meadows on the 28th. There are some audience sources for the two Universal Amphitheater shows which helped to prove the correct date. There are a few fan made versions of “Thank Your Lucky Stars” with different artwork floating around Godfather Records has released this recording in their signature gatefold packaging with numerous high quality pictures of the band. The artwork and pictures capture the overall essence of the band and do justice to the music contained within the packaging. I already had this release as “Thank Your Lucky Stars” and I have to say I’m very pleased with Godfather’s version. They’ve done well and I couldn’t be any happier. I know this release will definitely please many fans of The Smiths as well as those who already have “Thank Your Lucky Stars”. Good job Godfather, you released a recording I could not refuse..<-(Info taken from colelctors music reviews).

Notes: For one of the greatest performers of the 20th Century, there’s very little live material afloat from Stevie Wonder, especially from his celebrated “golden age” in the 1970s. This man released a string of perfect albums in the 1970s (from “Music of My Mind” in 1972 to “Songs in the Key of Life” in 1976), yet never issued an official live recording during that period, which is a shame. ---

This is a bootleg of Stevie’s concert at the Rainbow in London, in 1974. Word was, back in the day, that this concert was going to be officially released, but later on Stevie changed his mind, saying the audio quality of the tapes wasn’t up to snuff. This is strange, because the bootleg is a soundboard recording, and has great sound. Everything comes in crystal clear. --- If you take a look at this CD, the first thing that will strike you is the length of most of the songs. Seven minutes, eleven minutes, even eighteen minutes. You take a look at that 1974 date, take a look at Stevie’s large, multi-ethnic band (complete with electric guitar, keyboards, a great bassist), and you figure you’re in for some stoned-out mid-‘70s “hairy funk,” which was the style at the time. But, save for a few moments, that’s not the case.

The majority of the running time on the longer tracks is given over to Stevie improvising while playing his clavinet alone; there are only a few moments of full-on funky jamming from the complete band. Which is a shame, especially for anyone who’s seen that great footage of Stevie on “Sesame Street” from 1972, playing “Superstition” live with his touring group; there they tear through the song and take names. --- The fact is, this is a great concert, with great sound, and it should’ve been released officially. Definitely hunt it down if you are a Stevie fan (and let’s face it, what excuse would you have to NOT be a fan of golden age Stevie Wonder?). Reviewed by Joe Kenney.<-(Info taken from

*** Hemispheres tour ***

Personnel: Geddy Lee :: Alex Lifeson :: Neil Peart.

Notes: It's wonderful to find a source such as this show. There is a bit of flutter during the first song or two and Working Man's beginning is slightly cut. These are small prices to pay in exchange for a complete and uncut Cygnus X-1, Hemispheres and CTTH!!! Geddy is very talkative and Neil's drums are hitting hard. This show will be enjoyed by me for many years to come!! In regards to the artwork, the map on the front cover is an actual map of Detroit where Cobo Arena is located, and I do own the Rush toy truck!!! (Audio - 9) Review by LeeGeddy.

This has to be my favorite show from the "Hemispheres" tour. The sound is incredible, and there are only a few minor gaps that keep this from being a perfect EX+. The beginning of the show is a little iffy, "Anthem" starting, jumping from the left channel to the right channel, but it really isn't a problem. And there is weird sounding part in "Xanadu" right before Geddy starts to sing, but it dosen't get in the way. And the cut in "Working man" isn't that great either, but I still love this show. Highly recommended. (Audio - 9.5). Review by Eric.<<-(Info taken from>.

It's a very good show rightly regarded by Cream fans as one of the best of the late '67 tour of the US. For its vintage, the recording is very good and you can really hear why Cream had such an impact as a live act. On Sweet Wine and Rollin' and Tumbin' Ginger and Jack really lock together allowing Eric free rein to shine: and shine he does. Highly recommended - DR -.

*** The Rising Tour ***

Personnel: Bruce Springsteen - lead vocals, most lead guitars, harmonica :: Roy Bittan – piano, synthesizer :: Clarence Clemons – saxophone, background vocals :: Danny Federici – organ, electronic glockenspiel, accordion :: Nils Lofgren – guitars, pedal steel guitar, dobro, banjo, background vocals :: Patti Scialfa - acoustic guitar, background vocals :: Garry Tallent – bass guitar :: Soozie Tyrell - violin, percussion, background vocals :: Steven Van Zandt – guitars, mandolin, background vocals :: Max Weinberg – drums.

Notes: Absolutely amazing sound, which makes this one more than essential. ::: The final show of the short 2002 European tour featured all the highlights of the first couple months of the 2002 "barnstorming tour," including "Jackson Cage," the solo slot (extended to two songs at this show), and a very cool "wild card" song after "Waiting on a Sunny Day." Bruce relied heavy on the "Darkness on the Edge of Town" material early in the tour, but he moved away from that as the tour progressed, and "No Surrender" and "Jackson Cage" were more than happy to take those spots. "Jackson Cage" was a semi-regular on "The Rising" tour after not being played since "The River" tour.

The slot between "Sunny Day" and "World Apart" became a wild card, much like the post-"10th Avenue" spot was on the Reunion tour, and Bruce frequently filled that spot with "Bus Stop" and other "Greetings" material.
The solo slot, which came after "Countin' on a Miracle," was a favorite of fans, and Bruce usually sat down at the piano for this one. The most frequent songs in that spot were "Incident on 57th Street" and "For You," and this London show featured "Incident" and "The River," which was done on acoustic guitar.
"Dancing in the Dark" made its tour debut in Tacoma, Washington, on August 21, 2002 in a full band arrangement, the first since the end of the Amnesty Tour on October 15, 1988. Instead of going heavy on keyboards, though, Bruce went with a guitar-driven arrangement and the song just cooked, becoming a highlight of the entire tour

This blog is merely an index with public links for audio recordings of independent origin (ROIO) which have not been officially released. No audio or video content is hosted here. We only provide meta information files for the ROIOs. If you're an artist (or a legal representative of an artist or its estate) and you don't want your ROIOs shared on this blog for FREE among your fans, you may opt out any time by sending e-mail to the site admin. We will then put you in our list of not allowed artists. This will halt all sharing of your ROIOs in this blog within minutes. BTW, the ROIOs exist, you can't make them vanish. So, why not let your fans get them for free from one another instead of having to purchase them from commercial bootleggers on auction sites?
